Small pictures definitely have a place—like your Instagram feed—but at home, on your wall where you'll see it every day, bigger is definitely better. Our founder, Mitch, fell in love with big art after purchasing his first big piece several years ago (you can read all about it on our about page). The tl;dr is this: big prints are like a good friend that grow with you over the years.
We believe good art is a worthwhile investment. We also believe in making quality things that last a lifetime (and beyond!). Unlike your average photo lab, 100% of our prints are printed with archival pigment inks on cotton rag paper. This means that your print will last for generations when properly mounted inside a frame.
We proudly use a Canon printer and Hahnemühle papers.
Our printer, the Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-4000 uses 11 different inks and a chroma optimizer to produce some seriously stunning prints. We researched all of the premier fine-art printers from Epson to HP and the Canon blew us away. Based on the reaction of everyone who sees our prints, we made the right choice ☺️
The two fine art papers we use are Hahnemühle Photo Rag® 308 gsm and Hahnemühle Photo Rag® Baryta 315 gsm. Hahnemühle has been making paper since 1584. It's fair to say they know what they're doing! The papers are more expensive than other fine art papers, but we design out prints to last, and paper is no place to compromise.
The second half of that question kinds answers the first! How convenient, it's almost like we wrote it ourselves 🤔
X-Large prints are exclusively Limited Edition print runs. They are more valuable because they are unique and rare. Once the edition is sold out, no additional prints will ever be made. The edition size is set by the artist and generally falls somewhere between 5 and 50 on our site and include an artist proof. So, for a Limited Edition of 10, only 11 prints will ever be made of that image (10 prints for sale and 1 artist proof for the artist). Pretty cool, huh?
Yay! if this is your first print, welcome to the world of owning fine art, we're very excited for you ❤️
Your print is archival and can last for generations, but needs to be properly mounted and cared for. If you did not buy a framed print form us, we strongly recommend you get a frame ASAP. A frame is like sunscreen—it's gonna protect your print from UV rays. You should always use sunscreen 😎
You invested in an archival print, and should definitely invest in a good frame. At a bare minimum, get a frame with UV blocking glass or high-quality acrylic. For bonus points, commission a custom frame and tell your framer that your print is archival. They will take extra care to only use archival materials that ensure your print is not stained or damaged over time by cheap mats and glues.
I’m having trouble picking a print. Can you help me? Sure! Send us a picture of the room and wall where the print will live and we'll recommend one of our favorites (email@example.com).
☺️ We're flattered you'd like to be on the site! Our gallery is highly curated, and we can only accept a small percentage of submitted work. If you'd still like to submit, you can send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll check it out. Psssst—we also offer custom printing!
